Best Time To See The Show In The Chicago Area

Weather permitting, incredible northern lights displays will be visible across much of the northern United States this weekend, including the Chicago area.

The best time to see the Northern Lights in the Chicago area will be between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. early Saturday and Sunday mornings, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

This time around, the Northern Lights, also known as aurora borealis, could emerge in places where they usually don't, such as the Chicago area.

On Friday, the lights were spotted in Oak Lawn, downtown Chicago and more by 10 p.m.
